The results of the CFE Media and Technology survey of its readership regarding opportunities, challenges and attitudes when it comes to Edge Computing show;

  1. Exactly 41% of survey respondents see Edge computing as a great leap forward.
  2. Over half (52%) of survey respondents are in lean-forward mode, indicating we may be nearing the tipping point for adoption.
  3. Moreover, 26% of respondents were inclined to identify themselves as early adopters.
  4. Over half (51%) of respondents say they are actively evaluating or planning their Edge Computing applications.
  5. Of respondents, 49% say their organisations have the resources and capabilities needed in environments where operations technology, information technology, process control, automation and data science intermingle.
