Getting to know the Stratus ztC Edge

We've teamed up with Stratus again, this time to bring you the Stratus ztC edge.... take a look!

So what is this exciting solution that we've teamed up with Stratus to bring you?

We're hearing a lot today about the IT/OT convergence, this coming together of the two traditionally separate areas of the business. This convergence has seen IT taking more ownership of the hardware platform where the industrial applications live, but this is not always right or possible in every scenario, and this is where the ztC Edge comes in.

It combines both virtualisation and fault tolerance out of the box, concepts which the IT world are familiar and comfortable with, but it's housed in industrial-grade hardware, so able to sit where the work is actually happening in harsh environments on the factory floor, such as mounted on a din rail or panel.

It, therefore, has a fantastic use case for disparate or remote workstations where it's not always practical to have IT resource on-site. And with full fault tolerance and the backing of a support model, if one of the devices fails all processes will keep running and within 3 working days a new device will turn up on-site, and the old device can simply be replaced, no IT skills required.

Take a look at the rest of our series of videos where we take a closer look at the ztC Edge and how it works....

How to set up and maintain the ztC Edge

What happens if you suffer a failure

Meet the Stratus ztC Edge, the new Edge computing solution from Stratus Technologies.

We get it out the box and rake an in-depth look at the units themselves.

The ztC edge is easy to set-up and maintain. Once it's been installed, no further IT help needed, making it perfect for remote locations.

Phil and his lovely assistant Jess show you just how easy it is.

We demonstrate how the actual software living on these devices works. How the ztC Edge supports the critical applications that you cannot afford to fail and what it looks like when a failure happens.
